Delighted to support the Scoop Foundation

Really thrilled to be invited to support the SCOOP Foundation for their novel and interesting #OUTOFTHEBOX art auction. They have asked over 100 artists to create original artworks on pizza boxes, skateboards, trainers and a handful of mirrors …!!! I know .. crazy idea … but I love it …!!! The event was run in the RHA on the evening of 28th March … it was a cracking night …!!!.

Here are a few pics of what I did with the old mirror that SCOOP gave me … I have to say … I love the way it turned out … !!! It certainly was quite different from what I normally do, and I was ‘way outside my comfort zone’  ….!!! But I got ‘my juices flowing’ following a wonderful day pottering about in the antique stores on Francis Street. I called the final piece ‘Syrian Rose'.

Funds raised from the art auction go to support SCOOP’s specialised programmes that empower displaced and marginalised young people in Ireland and abroad these include SCOOP Art, SCOOP ED, SCOOP Music and SCOOP Recruit.

Big shout-out to Viola, Ann & Rory for the ‘shot in the mirror’ …!!! ?
