Green Friday - Proud to be supporting Irish ..!

I'm delighted to support the 'Green Friday' initiative which aims to turn Black Friday green on November 29th. Ireland's retail and industry bodies have joined together to ask us to shop more consciously and support Irish brands and products this Christmas. Choosing Irish brands and products keeps jobs, creativity and innovation thriving in our local communities.

Lights & Mirrors - Bringing my squares into a new dimension!

After a year of exploring, developing and refining this new concept I am thrilled to release my new ‘Infinity Series’.  I’m buzzing with the way you can, through the use of LED lights and mirrors, see up to 8 repeats of the squares going back into the frame ..!! They are 50 x 50cm framed, with a 6cm deep, although it looks like you can see nearly 1 metre into the frame ...!!   It has to be seen to be believed ..!! I believe they are pretty unique in the Irish market and lend themselves really well to a range of spaces but also some shaded areas too ..!! :-)

My first two Infinity pieces are now with the Sol Gallery and I’ll also have a new Infinity Mirror piece in the Chimera Gallery for their upcoming Christmas show.

Absolutely loved Hong Kong …!!

Well that goes down as one of the ‘great experiences’ …!! It was an absolute honour to have my art on show with the Sol Art Gallery at the recent Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong.

The show was run in the really impressive Hong Kong Convention Centre right down by the harbour, and featured 115 galleries from around the world. The buzz in the exhibition was electric throughout the weekend. It was really great to see some really fabulous art there and meet a whole range of people who were interested in Irish art.

Niall’s Art set for Hong Kong show in May

I’m really buzzing with the news that my art will feature in the AAF Hong Kong, 17-19 May 2019, with the Sol Gallery. This will be my second time showing in Hong Kong with the first time, which was a huge success, back in 2015.

Launching my first series of Limited Edition Prints ... !!

I am thrilled to release my very first limited edition print series on the simply gorgeous archival Hahnemuhle paper, produced by the Copper House Gallery in Dublin. The new prints will be available on my webstore here on NiallLeavy.com from Friday 9th November 2018. I am particularly thrilled with how the Copper House Gallery have captured the three dimensional presentation of the squares, retaining that sense of an opportunity to ‘capture a positive moment’.

Niall supports New York's Art Therapy Project

For the third year in a row, I’m really delighted to support New York’s The Art Therapy Project by donating a painting. This year they asked me to paint a small canvas 12.5 x 12.5cm (5 x5 in), which I painted in my stripe style and have called it ‘Insight’. Big shoutout to my framer Ger Boylan of The Picture Framing Place in #Skerries, who threw in the really nice frame 'for the cause' ...!
